Overview

Prepare to take paintballing to a whole new epic level as you fire paint pellets whilst cruising along in an army tank. With this Tank Paintball Battles gift experience, prepare to enjoy the ultimate action-adventure combination!

In crews of three, you’ll take it in turns to control the tank over the challenging circuit, based on a World War Two bombing range. You’ll be navigating a 17 tonne FV432 armoured personnel carrier with specially modified cannons, able to fire 40mm paint rounds. As you engage in some paint-splattering combat on this historical battleground, it’ll be easy to imagine the atmosphere of a real life tank battle, but the only difference is that you’ll be using paint balls as your ammo instead!

Whether a pro-paintball soldier, talented tank-driver or just a complete new-comer to both of these adventurous activities, this experience is guaranteed to get the blood-pumping, along with testing your strategy, accuracy, speed and sheer determination to claim victory over the other team.

You and the 2 other crew members will alternate between driving the tank, aiming the cannon, loading the breach and firing the big air-powered cannon, giving you a taste of all the action. Once you’ve mastered the art of tank driving, the hatches will be closed, setting you up to enter combat against the enemy, with the only the help of the periscopes to guide you along!

An instructor will be on-board, guiding and advising throughout so you’ll be completely looked after throughout this paintballing fest. Radio headsets, kevlar helmets, tank suits and gloves will be provided to set you up for all the paint-splattering fun you’re bound to have!

Alongside this blood-pumping few hours of fun, you’ll also have the chance to explore the onsite military collection free of charge if you wish!

What did you get up to?
I arrived at the venue and was told I could explore their museum whilst I waited for my turn. The museum has such a vast collection of military vehicles and memorabilia worth exploring.
After a brief and friendly introduction it was off to get kitted out. Then I had a long practice run in the tank, which included the following:
1. Driving the tank with both the driver’s hatch open and closed, looking through the driver’s optical periscope. While I was the driver, my battle comrades watched the view through the open turret hatches.
2. Aiming the gun at dummy vehicles with targets painted on them by the rotation of the turret and vertical movement of the gun.
3. Pressurising the gun, loading and firing when the person aiming calls ready.
We then had a cup of coffee and talked strategies before the battle commenced!
As you would expect driving a tank is unlike driving anything else and worth trying for that experience alone. With the element of a one on one tank battle this brings even more fun to the experience.

What did you enjoy the most?
I really enjoyed the whole experience from the team bonding to the battle! The museum is also not something to be overlooked!
