Overview
North Wales is a great place to enjoy the sport of Open Canoeing. It has a vast amount of rivers open for use as well as a number of lakes and canals to hone those skills before heading onto the white water. You can choose from a fleet of canoes ranging in sizes and types to meet your needs.
Never tried open canoeing before? This beginner sessions will teach you all you need to know to get the boat going in a straight line. You will also play games and generally have a good time. All equipment is provided, there is a fleet of canoes ranging in sizes and types so there will be one just right for you. Open canoes, as the name suggests, have a completely open deck so there is no fear of entrapment should you accidentally capsize and they are very comfortable to paddle because you can change your sitting position. This session will be based on the Llangollen canal.
