Your skilled and highly experienced pilot will reveal plenty of interesting facts about your surroundings throughout your journey and will be sure to push the aircraft to its full potential. When you arrive at your chosen airfield you will be welcomed by a specialist team who will go through the safety briefing. Then it’s time for a few photo opportunities and a final prep before you climb aboard. Your pilot will take you up to over 1,000ft whilst pointing out local landmarks for some great pictures. Cameras are positively encouraged, as with an experience this exhilarating you will want to relive it as often as possible. Description

There is nothing quite like the sensation of hovering in a powerful, fast-moving helicopter - looking down at the ground just a few feet below. But there is no time to ponder, as the pilot has applied power and you can feel the helicopter accelerating over the ground and now you are climbing, flying away to 1000 feet.

Description

Enjoy an exhilarating helicopter flight which allows you to discover the wonders and history of Welsh castles while taking in some of the most spectacular scenery Britain has to offer.

Wales is a beautiful and fascinating country steeped in myth and legend, and what better way to see it than high-up above, from a perspective usually reserved for birds soaring overhead.

Upon arrival you will be welcomed and briefed by one of Whizzard Helicopters’ specialist flight crew. Once you are safely strapped into your seat, the helicopter will pass along the River Severn, which flows for around 220 miles from its source in the Welsh Cambrian Mountains, through Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and finally emptying into the Bristol Channel.

You will then fly over the historic county town of Montgomery, which boasts pretty Georgian architecture and a stone masonry castle built in the 13th century. Heading north, you’ll discover Hen Domen, a small mound now, but the original motte and bailey site of Montgomery Castle. You will also have the chance to see the Shropshire hills and Corndon, an area of outstanding natural beauty, all before heading over Long Mountain and Offa’s Dyke, a large linear earthwork which roughly follows the current border between England and Wales.

As you head back to the airport you’ll pass by Powys Castle with its red sandstone walls. It was once the home of a long line of Welsh Princes and was even visited by Queen Victoria when she was a child.

Description

Enjoy an aerial adventure with a difference - take a thrilling helicopter ride over the stunning landscape of beautiful Wales, a country steeped in myth, legend, waterfalls and giants - Snowdonia has it all.

Upon arrival you will be welcomed and briefed by one of Whizzard Helicopters’ specialist flight crew. Once you are safely strapped into your seat, it’s time for take-off. First, the helicopter will pass over the spectacular Conwy Falls before moving on to Dolwyddelan castle and then heading north to beautiful village of Capel Curig.

You will then head back to the Conwy River to pass Llanrwst, home to mythical 'Ifan Groch the giant' before continuing on over the famous Swallow Falls on the Llugwy River, the highest continuous waterfall in Wales.

This unforgettable experience will bring to life the legends of Snowdonia so make sure you bring your camera, so you can you can re-live the experience with friends and family and show off your fantastic photographs.

The minimum age is 2 years old, anyone under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

This may not be suitable if you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, high blood pressure, or heart conditions. The maximum weight is 107kg (17st).

There is no previous flying experience necessary.
