Overview

It’s fast, it’s furious, it’s creative, it’s witty and it’s a highly entertaining activity for all ages. In this race against the clock, you will need to use your thinking skills to solve a series of clues, scavenge a number of items, take some brilliantly creative snaps and win some great prizes! You can work in pairs or in a team of up to ten people.

Strategy and Clue Solving - After you have been briefed, you and your companions will head off with a treasure hunt pack filled with clues, riddles, maps and - of course - essential chocolate supplies. You will have to work together to set the strategy, solve the clues, plan the route and get the questions answered.

Scavenger Points and Photo Challenges - You will be given bags of chocolate coins, to ‘bribe’ your way to gathering the scavenger items. During the race, you will also need to keep your eyes peeled and wits about you to collect the photo bonus points. There will be lots of chances to get some great snaps, so everyone can get their pose on!

Prizes - The more clues you solve, the better the prize - but, whatever size the prize, everyone will leave with a bag of delicious Belgian chocolate to take home and enjoy.

Please note, this gift is for two people but the venue will require a group of 6 for the hunt to go ahead so you will be paired up with other treasure hunters. MyChocolate will give you as much notice as possible for any bookings that cannot go ahead due to lack of participants.

What did you get up to?
The experience leader who is also a chocolatier at My Chocolate, warmly welcomed us on our arrival provided us with a clipboard that had the experience brief and clues attached. There were 3 other groups there and each team we had to come up with their own name. We decided on ‘From Another Galaxy’ to keep in with the chocolate theme and spirit!
Then it was time to start the challenge, where we were given 2 hours to solve as many clues as possible and make our way to the finish point. If you didn’t make it back within 5 minutes of the end time, you’d be disqualified! There were 28 clues in total, but there were also bonus photo points and ‘scavenger points’ you can along the way. For every clue we managed to find, we had to take a picture of and send to the chocolatier via WhatsApp, who took note of the scores as we progressed through the challenge.
We explored around a bit of Shoreditch, walking down the famous Brick Lane and even seeing some of London’s vibrant street art, including a ‘Crunchy the Credit Crunch Monster’ creation.
We were awarded 3rd place, which we were happy with as we still got to walk away with a very generous portion of moreish Belgian chocolate buttons, which you definitely earn with all the walking you do – we racked up over 10,000 steps and some more!

What did you enjoy the most?
If you’re looking for an experience that combines exercise, exploring London and some delicious Belgian chocolate, then this is right up your street! I’d only been on one treasure hunt before and that didn’t involve chocolate, so I was very excited for this!
