Overview
Become completely immersed in the wonderful world of flying with this trial flying lesson gift experience, where you’ll take the controls of an aircraft for an hour to become a master of the skies.
The art of flying is a fascinating one and what could be a more perfect introduction to this skill than this 60 minute flying lesson, where you’ll learn the basics of soaring through the skies, but you may also land with a taste for a new sky-high hobby.
This experience can be enjoyed at a number of locations, you’ll easily be able to embrace the fantastic freedom of flying wherever you choose to go.
Your thrilling flying experience will start with a pre-flight briefing delivered by your instructor, during which you’ll learn about the different functions of the aircraft’s controls and an overview of the experience itself, preparing for the excitement to follow. Before flying, you’ll also be shown the main control surfaces in a ‘walk around’ the aircraft, so you can familiarise yourself. The instructor will provide a demonstration of some of the basic manoeuvres required for your flight, then it’s time for you to go up, up and away! You’ll take the controls of the aircraft and feel it respond to your lightest touch whilst gaining an insight of what it’s like to navigate your way through the skies.
Please note that take-off and landing times are included in this 60 minute lesson.
If you exceed the supplier’s maximum weight limit, you may be asked to pay an additional fee to cover the overall aircraft weight. Please check this upon booking.

Minimum age varies depending on your chosen location, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
This may not be suitable if pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, blackouts, high blood pressure or heart conditions. Maximum weight 82.55kg to 108kg (13 to 17 stone) depending on the location.

What did you get up to?
When I was a kid one of my dreams was to become a pilot and experiencing this, even if it was only for a short time, was one of the best things I have done in my life. When I arrived, the little boy inside me came out and I was genuinely so excited that I was actually going to be flying a plane! The lady at reception was ever so friendly from the moment I arrived and when I left. Before we got started, my instructor Ian asked me to help him re-fuel the plane which was interesting because I didn’t know the fuel tank for planes was in the wings! After re-fuelling, we boarded the plane and Ian explained the basic functions (believe me, there are a lot!) and then we took off for what was an amazing experience! During the flight we flew over the legendary Silverstone race track amongst all the other scenic views we had. I was fortunate enough to go on a sunny day so the whole thing was worth every second. The turbulence did scare me a few times but the excitement I had didn’t even let this phase me! Overall, I had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves a thrilling experience.
